Character name, removed elevator, doors transitions, game auto updater


I decided on a name for the character: Utsuki, following the convention of similar games that use tsuki in the name. In this case, it is a Utsu + tsuki junction, which symbolizes depression in kanji / japanese / google translator.

I dismissed the idea of the elevator taking to the worlds. In third person very close places don't work well, they are bad to see and I don't plan on using a fixed camera, although Nier Automata did it in some places and worked very well. So I decided to use the same dynamics as Yume Nikki, doors that lead to the worlds.

At the doors, I wanted to make an effect where the player entered the world without screen transition effect or darkening. It wasn't easy, I spent at least 3 days trying and testing alternatives, none of them seemed simple to implement and some would make the game heavier. So I decided to use some simple transition maybe changing from scenario to scenario, and some points even the darkening and fading of the screen. I worked on performance improvements and took out heavy textures and models. Although now is not the time to worry about performance, the player downloading a 200mb file from a prototype is not interesting, by the way, it is better to work on these points now rather than leave it to later. 

The game can now tell if its version is out of date based on the latest version published. A simple solution that I implemented in the start menu that notifies and shows a link that takes the player to the URL to download the updated version.
